Renovations and Development

210 N Livingston:

2 unit apartment building renovated by Accipiter (Accipiter was general contractor; Accipiter principal Adam Chern was lead carpenter).  We restored the original clapboard siding and constructed new detached garage.  Interior was fully gutted with new floors, walls, ceiling, and fixtures installed.  Building was transformed into a 2-unit residential condominium and the units were sold in 2004.

1336 E Mifflin:
Managed a 4-unit apartment building.  Minor alterations and maintenance covenants were put in place to qualify building for a very low-interest “homeless loan” from the Wisconsin Housing and Economic Development Authority (WHEDA).  Gained experience with WHEDA’s underwriting processes.  Building was sold in 2007 to Housing Initiatives, Inc., a non-profit supportive housing services company.

1882 E Main Street:
Accipiter contracted with Engineered Construction of Verona, Wisconsin to handle the re-development of a 2-story medical records storage warehouse into a mixed-use commercial building. The 1882 E. Main Street building is currently occupied by a commercial kitchen, yoga studio, and numerous business offices.  Hardwood floors, energy-efficient windows and doors, and high-beamed ceilings are highlights at the 1882 E. Main Street building. Visit the showcase section of our website for more information on this property!

2100 Winnebago:
Accipiter worked with Findorff Construction on the alteration of 8,000 square feet of interior space.  Changes wre required to suit the needs of 3 new entrepreneurial tenants (Sector67, Nessalla Kombucha, and Doctor Sax).  The building had previously been the home of the Anderson-Thomas outdoor power equipment company for 50+ years.

2114 Winnebago:
Accipiter worked with Findorff Construction again to re-develop an outdoor power equipment warehouse / distribution center into a 10,000+ square foot fitness facility (with mezzanine level) at 2114 Winnebago Street.
