Before…

After…

A brief history of the building…

1882 East Main Street was built in 1923. It was used in the 30′s as a chicken hatchery, warehouse, and distributor. From the 40′s to the 70′s it was owned by Gordon Engineering. In the early 80′s it was sold to the real estate arm of the East Madison Clinic. It was used by the Clinic (later Dean Clinic) as a record storage facility until Accipiter bought and renovated it.

Unique challenges during renovation…

Each space has been modified to fit the needs of the tenants. For many months the building was a busy combination of tenants and staff, contractors and trades people, customers, inspectors, etc. It has been a challenge having so much activity while maintaining daily operations for those who moved into the building during the renovation.

As a final step a special Elastomeric coating was applied to the exterior to preserve the brick and weather seal the building.
