Accipiter Properties, Inc. is a real estate management and development company that has been located in the Schenk-Atwood (near-east side Madison, WI) neighborhood for over a decade.  The development site is within walking distance of Accipiter’s office.

Some of Accipiter’s projects (all within a quarter mile of the site) include:

  • The re-development of a 2-story medical records storage warehouse into a mixed-use commercial building housing a commercial kitchen, yoga studio, and numerous offices.  Hard-wood floors, energy-efficient windows and doors, and high-beamed ceilings are highlights at the 1882 E. Main Street building.
  • The re-development of an outdoor power equipment warehouse / distribution center into a 10,000 + square foot fitness facility (with mezzanine level) at 2114 Winnebago Street.

Both principals of our company were members of the Schenk-Atwood Neighborhood Business Improvement Plan Project Management Team whose mandate was to implement recommendations of the Business District Master Plan during the early part of the decade.  More recently, we have been active participants in the Winnebago Atwood Business Association, a group that is striving for continued neighborhood improvements, including quality re-development projects that create opportunity for all neighborhood stakeholders.
